The City of Portage la Prairie is one of twelve participating cities in the World Health Organization’s Age Friendly Cities initiative.  The Economic and Community Development Department has organized a local advisory committee to assist in our participation.  Currently, we are encouraging seniors to contact us to register to be considered as a focus group participant.  Attached please find the forms required to be completed.  There is also an overview of the project attached for your information.  All completed forms will be forwarded to the Centre on Aging at the University of Manitoba, where researchers will conduct the screening process and select the final list of participants.  The deadline for registering is September 8 and are to be submitted to Jenn Sarna, Manager of Community Development, City of Portage la Prairie.
